Shantaa
Shantaa (she/her/) is a Psychology and History double major with a minor in African American Studies. Shantaa would like to use her background with effective tutoring principles at the WORD Studio to assist her peers with their reading and writing skills to alleviate some of the stressors associated with starting or writing a paper. She is very passionate about advocacy and creating a comfortable and inclusive space for all her peers and clients. In her spare time, she enjoys nature walks, watching anime, and trying out new makeup looks!
Shantaa is studying away in Washington, DC in Fall 2024.
Sofi
Sofi (she/her) is a Global Studies and Government double major, with a possible minor in English. She is an international student from Venezuela, and she has spent time recently in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Sofi loves to hang out with her friends, enjoy sunny days sitting on the Adirondack chairs, and definitely a good chocolate ice cream. When it comes to tutoring, she would like to use her non-native speaker background and encourage her peers to find their voices through their writing. She sees tutoring as an opportunity to connect with other people and learn from their writing styles.
Sofi is studying away in NYC in Fall 2024.
Anni
Anni (she/her) is a Creative Writing and Psychology double major, with an Outdoor Studies minor. In addition to working at the WORD studio, Anni is the yoga coordinator for SluFlowProject (affiliated with the Lighthouse). Along with a love of intentional living, Anni also enjoys playing outside, skiing, running, singing, and dancing. Anni brings this energetic, intentional mindset to her work at the WORD Studio, emphasizing interpersonal connection and collaboration in her sessions. She looks forward to empowering her peers to write boldly, with individual styles and voices.
