Special Collections is the home for the archives of St. Lawrence University, our Manuscript collections, and a Rare Book collection that bespeaks the intellectual history of St. Lawrence University. We are a teaching archive. We are a resource for how to appraise unique materials, and for seeing printed matter anew. Materials are viewed in the Frank and Anne Piskor Reading Room, and access to the room is by appointment. For an appointment, contact Special Collections and Archives Librarian Paul Doty, 315-229-5483, email@example.com.
Special Collections is the place in the general library where we keep any items that are scarce, fragile, or valuable. Any type of library material that meets the above criteria can be found in special collections, such as printed books, journals, newspapers, maps, atlases, photographs, reports, diaries, correspondence, etc.
