Special Collections is the home for the archives of St. Lawrence University, our Manuscript collections, and a Rare Book collection that bespeaks the intellectual history of St. Lawrence University.  We are a teaching archive.  We are a resource for how to appraise unique materials, and for seeing printing matter anew.  We are open to the public.

Special Collections is the place in the general library where we keep any items that are scarce, fragile, or valuable. Any type of library material that meets the above criteria can be found in special collections, such as printed books, journals, newspapers, maps, atlases, photographs, reports, diaries, correspondence, etc.
