Peer Tutoring Staff

Alice is studying abroad in Fall 2026.

Alice (She/her) is a Neuroscience major and Chemistry minor who is passionate about supporting her peers as a tutor at SLU. Tutoring allows her to connect more with the student body and keep knowledge alive. Besides being a tutor, Alice is also an EMT with SLU EMS, an Arabic TA, and the Student Delegate to the Board of Trustees. She enjoys coffee, hugs, and the outdoors.

Anna (She/her) is a Biology major with a Chemistry and Art minor on the pre-med track. She is a member of the Alpine Ski team at SLU and Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. When she’s not training or skiing, she loves to hang out with friends, draw, or be outside. Anna is enthusiastic about learning and hopes to help other find joy in it. 

Atem (he/him) is a junior majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Statistics. I tutor because I enjoy helping others build confidence and believe that learning is most rewarding when knowledge is shared. In addition to the Peer Tutoring Program, I work as a Chemistry Stockroom Assistant and serve as a Community Assistant. Outside of academics, I enjoy basketball, volleyball, hiking, and spending time with friends.

Belle (she/her) is a Biomedical Sciences major with a minor in Chemistry on the pre-dental track. Originally from Watertown, New York, she loves spending time on the St. Lawrence River whenever she can. Outside of peer tutoring, Belle is involved in the Chemistry Club, the Advocates Program, Kappa Delta Sigma, and serves as an Orientation Leader. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks around campus and making trips to the Bagelry. As a tutor, Belle is passionate about creating a welcoming environment where challenging concepts feel approachable and students feel confident asking questions. She can't wait to meet everyone and help support their academic journey!

Carly is a Chemistry major from Buffalo, New York. Go Bills! She is a member of the cross country and track and field team at St. Lawrence, and when not running or studying she likes to play card games, watch sitcoms and hang out with her dog, Samson. She enjoys helping students navigate through harder courses and hopes to help them succeed to the best of her ability.

Ella (she/her) is a Biomedical Science major, with a Psychology minor. She is apart of the Swim team as well as other organizations on campus like Planned Parenthood and Singing Sinners. In her free time she loves to go on walks, attend concerts and hang out with friends. After her time at SLU, she hopes to continue her education and become a Physician Assistant. She is excited to work with other students as a peer tutor to help others feel understood and succeed!

Ellie is studying abroad in Fall 2026.

Ellie (She/her) is a Finance and Math major. She is in her Sophomore year at SLU and beginning her second year as a peer tutor. Ellie is hoping to use her degree to work in Investment Banking and Finance. She is on the Women's Tennis Team at SLU. On top of tennis, Ellie loves going skiing, golfing, trying new foods, and traveling. She loved watching her peers grow through tutoring last year and is eager to help students enjoy the topics they're studying. 

Ellie (she/her) is a Chemistry and Math Double major. She enjoys tutoring as it connects her to different parts of the SLU campus and gives her a reason to review foundational information. Outside of peer tutoring she is a Gen Chem peer pod TA, Organic Chemistry Lab TA and president of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at SLU. She enjoys reading, coffee, and going for runs.

Elvis is studying abroad in Fall 2026. 

Elvis (he/him) is a Data Science Major and Political Science Minor who believes anything can be learnt with the right approach. He enjoys learning and nerding out on various topics especially those he's not familiar with. Outside class he is into thrifting and talking to people, and if he could do one thing everyday, it would be thrifting and talking to people. 

Emerson (he/him) is a Finance major at St. Lawrence University and the co-founder and co-president of SLU Financial Empowerment. Driven by a disciplined, results-oriented approach, he excels at breaking down complex quantitative concepts into practical, high-impact strategies. As a peer tutor, Emerson is committed to helping his classmates build sharp academic habits, master course fundamentals, and execute their goals with confidence.

Emily is a Business and Psychology double major from Minnesota. She loves to ski, go on walks, and get coffee with friends. As a peer tutor, she hopes to help each student find ways to comprehend the material and feel confident in themselves. She is excited to work with fellow students!

Hannah (she/her) is a biochemistry major with a passion for nature. She finds beauty in all parts of our world and particularly loves animals, which led her to pursue biochemistry. As a tutor, Hannah hopes to find ways for other students to better enjoy their courses and their time in college. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys listening to music, going for walks outside, and chatting with her friends. 

Henry (he/him) is intending on majoring in biochemistry. He is excited to help students achieve their maximum potential in the classroom to reach their goals. Henry is a member of the pre-dental society, pre-health club and is a General Biology Lab TA on campus. In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, running, skiing, and fishing. He also likes to watch and stay current with sports. 

Ian (he/him) is a Neuroscience major and Chemistry minor. Outside of tutoring, he is a Community Assistant and works at the IT department. He is also a big soccer fan.

Jimena (she/her) is a Data Science major with minors in Political Science, from Guatemala. On campus, she lives in Java House and works at the Info Desk and for Nature Up North. In her free time, you can find her at the climbing wall. Jimena loves explaining “difficult things” in the easiest way possible, and she enjoys seeing how, with a little help, we all grow together.

Josh (he/him) is a Neuroscience major with a Chemistry minor from Maryland. He is also a part of the Swim team here at SLU. Outside of tutoring he likes playing games, watching movies, and spending time with friends. 

Juliet (she/her) is a biomedical sciences major from Niskayuna New York. In her free time she enjoys reading, working out, spending time outside, and cooking! Outside of peer tutoring she is a member of Chi Omega sorority and a Gen Bio prep lab TA. She’s excited to help her peers succeed and be a resource for helping others! 

Lauren is a Biomedical Science and Psychology double major with a minor in Chemistry, and she is from Watertown, New York. She is highly involved on campus and enjoys staying active, spending time with friends, and engaging in leadership and service-oriented activities. She enjoys tutoring because she loves helping students break down complex material, build confidence in their academic abilities, and develop effective study strategies that support long-term success.

Lilly is a Biochemistry major from Buffalo, New York.  She is on the St. Lawrence swim team and is in her junior year.  In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and spending time outside.  She is excited to work with other students to help them excel in their classes! 

Lucia (she/her) is a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Outdoor Leadership. Outside of her studies, she enjoys being outdoors, taking long walks, surfing, hiking, and traveling. She is co-president of the Environmental Action Organization (EAO) and passionate about sustainability. Lucia hopes to be a valuable resource for students and aims to create a judgment-free, supportive, and encouraging environment so students can feel more confident with the material. 

Morgan (she/her) is a Biology major from Starksboro, Vermont. In her free time she enjoys exercise, being outside, and hanging out with friends. She is a member of the field hockey team, and spends quality time in Dana with her teammates. Morgan is looking forward to supporting other students with their academics!

Norah (she/her) is a Biomedical Sciences major on the pre-med track. She is a part of the women's basketball team at SLU. She hopes to attend either medical school or physician assistant school after St. Lawrence. In her free time she loves reading, watching sports, and hanging out with friends. She is excited to tutor and looks forward to helping her peers feel confident in their classes.

Paige is a Biology major with minors in chemistry and psychology. She is also a member of the cross country and track and field team. In her free time she enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time outside. 

Sarah (she/her) is a Biology and Psychology double major with a minor in Exercise Science and Sports Studies. She enjoys cycling, lifting, and ski racing, and loves spending time with her two dogs. She looks forward to connecting with fellow students and helping them achieve their academic goals.

Seth (he/him) is a Psychology and Political science double major and Gender Studies minor. He enjoys running, singing, and being involved in many organizations at SLU such as the Advocates program and the Performing Arts Collective. He is excited to support his peers in understanding challenging course material and is passionate about learning new strategies for handling academics.

Taylor (she/her) is a junior Biomedical Science major on the pre-dental track. She’s involved in the Volunteer Services Club, Campus Kitchens, KDS, and also serves as an Orientation Leader for incoming first-year students. When she’s not studying or volunteering, she enjoys playing pickleball, taking long walks, sipping an iced latte, or laughing with friends. Taylor is passionate about helping fellow students tackle challenging material and believes studying shouldn’t feel overwhelming. She aims to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel confident and capable in their academic success.

Valeria (she/her) is a Data Science major who finds joy in tutoring by helping others grow and meeting new people along the way. She’s passionate about making challenging concepts easier to understand and creating a welcoming environment for learning. Outside of academics, Valeria enjoys watching movies, meeting people, and discovering new foods.
