William H. Carr Diary

This diary, covering the time between January 1, 1865 and July 22, 1865, was kept by Private William H. Carr who served in the 14th New York Heavy Artillery. It is very detailed with Carr writing nearly every day. With the diary is a student paper on Carr containing transcriptions of most of the entries, as well as copies of Carr’s pension documents.

This collection consists of 54 letters, written between November 8, 1861 and April 26, 1863 by William H. Davies to his family while he was serving in the 16th NY Volunteers in Virginia.

This collection consists of 28 diaries of William Rasbeck, one for each year from 1887 through 1916. The diary entries most concern the weather for each day and the routine happenings and chores of the day.

The collection consists of galley proofs for books of poetry by various authors (Frances Frost, Howard Griffin, Alfred Noyes, Edith Sitwell and Stephen Spender).

Work on Waste (WOW) Anti-incineration Records

This collection contains material primarily focusing on the contentious solid waste disposal debate in St. Lawrence County during the 1980's and early 1990’s and the vehement opposition to an incineration option proposed by county leaders, organized by the environmental advocacy group Work on Waste.

This unprocessed collection consists of primarily the correspondence between William Murray to his wife Beatrice (Fulton of New York City) during World War II.

Marion Anderson Hyman Collection of Franklin D. Roosevelt

The collection consists of scrapbooks, campaign buttons, coins and similar ephemera. Also included are clippings and photographs, two typewritten letters written and signed by Roosevelt as president, a photograph album, newspaper clippings, magazines with articles about FDR, a copy of his will, his inaugural addresses, a phonograph album, FDR ancestry and a 1936 Democratic Book.

John Van Vechten Papers

This collection consists primarily of letters written from 1832 - 1877. It contains 15 folders of letters, receipts, and land agreements. The 15th folder in this collection contains postcards, and envelopes from 1900 - 1921 that do not have the corresponding letters with them. The three main locations that the letters were written from were: Chateaugay, NY, Albany, and New York City.
