Access to Science Library Books and Journals
Launders Science Library is currently closed due to the fire at Fox Hall. If you need a book, journal, or other item from the Science Library fill out the Science Library Item Request form and we will retrieve it for you. Requested items will be available for you to pick up at the ODY Library Service Desk by 5:00 the next weekday.
Gwen Cunningham, Science Librarian, is available for research consultations at ODY Library. To schedule a session, you can access her library consultation calendar or email gcunningham@stlawu.edu.
If you have books that were checked out from the Science Library please return them to ODY.

About
Launders Science Library, located in Fox Hall, supports study and research in the natural sciences, psychology, technology, and the history of science. The science library is home to a teaching space for library and general instruction and the Elberty Spatial Analysis GIS Lab. It also provides all students with access to high-quality scanning equipment, Naturalist Packs, and many spaces for quiet study.
Research Assistance at Launders
Science Librarian Gwen Cunningham offers research assistance to help students find the best information available on their topics. Some ways she can assist students include choosing appropriate databases, developing search strategies, keyword selection, evaluating sources, using interlibrary loan to acquire materials, using Zotero to format citations properly, as well as answering any other questions you may have about our library resources. Gwen provides in-class library instruction as well as research support to faculty. Reference and research assistance services are available Monday-Friday 10:00am-5:00pm with flexibility to schedule outside these hours.
