Sunderland Family Correspondence
This collection consists of 65 letters (64 originals and one photocopy) of John and Darwin Sunderland describe camp life, battles, hospitals, and medical care during the Civil War.
Thomas John Carlisle Papers
The collection consists of approximately 800 poems, 29 letters and 2 pieces of sheet music. The poems are typewritten and many contain references to biblical verses. The correspondence consists of letters to and from publishers about his books.
Thomas Purves Collection
The collection consists of two manuscript notebooks written by Purves donated to St. Lawrence University in 1989 by Allegra Fourtanati (relative of Purves) of California. The first notebook is an account of Purves and his family's journey from Scotland to America in 1819. The second book is entitled "A Shorthand Dictionary Consisting of Invented Characters for Words and Sentences." Also included is a newspaper article about the notebooks.
Thousand Islands Collection
This collection contains photo booklets of the Islands and the St. Lawrence River, newspapers, index to summer cottages in the late 18th century, and an engraved plate for making money from the Sackets Harbor Bank.

This collection consists of an assessment roll for 1868, voting registers of general elections, a 1919 Ballot, mortgages, and receipts of paid bills.
Twentieth Century Paperbacks Collection
This collection consists of 220 paperbacks, published between 1929 and 1978. They represent 19 publishing houses, most notably Pocket Books. The cover art represents the work of a score of anonymous illustrators. The heft, feel, smell, and aura of the books embodies the iconic place these everyday objects have in libraries and people’s lives.
U.S. Presidential Inauguration Memorabilia
The United States Presidential Inauguration collection was donated to St. Lawrence University by J. Harold Launders, class of 1932. Mr. Launders was a member of the Inaugural Committee for several years during which time he collected the materials.
Ulysses S. Milburn Collection of Nathaniel Hawthorne
This collection consists of letters written by Hawthorne dating between 1837 and 1863, and letters written by family members. The collection also includes manuscripts by Hawthorne, members of his family, and historical documents.

The majority of items in this collection consist of hand-colored photo glass slides, glass slide negatives and gel negatives of scenery, buildings and people in England, Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland and other European countries; Mexico, Central and South America, and Africa.
