Faculty Carrels

Faculty carrels are available in the Owen D. Young Library, which has both double occupancy and single spaces.

The library assigns spaces to applicants engaged in scholarly activity three times a year:  Fall, Spring, and for the summer months.

Assignments are made on the basis of information provided on the form that is mailed to each faculty member at the beginning of each semester and weighed in terms of:

1. Eligibility
2. The location of collection most relevant to one's research
3. The purpose for which the study is needed
4. The length of time one has previously been assigned a study.  (Evidence of use will also be considered when re-applying)
