This course is designed as an experiential learning activity where you will study theories and evidence from political science and communication and apply them to some of the key global issues we face today (e.g., wars, economic crises, refugee flows, climate change, pandemics, etc.).  You will be assigned the role of a key player in world politics (e.g., a political leader) and will articulate your position in a manner representative of your real-world counterpart.  Using oral presentations, written position papers, and open debate, you will seek to construct viable solutions agreeable to all parties involved.  Ultimately, the course will help you develop a deeper knowledge of international politics and improve your skills in decision-making, negotiation, public speaking, research, and teamwork.
