This year in the Frank and Anne Piskor Reading Room we are featuring materials from some of our noteworthy collection, and for the new display we turn to Frank himself: The Frank P. Piskor Collection of Robert Frost.

For the remainder of the academic year we will feature different materials from this collection.  On display now are, seasonally, the collection of the Christmas Cards by Frost, printed by the Spiral Press.  Also, we have out correspondence between Frank Piskor and Robert Frost, and correspondence between Gwendolyn Brooks and Frank Piskor, among other choice items from the collection.  Finally, there is also out a Blickensderfer Typewriter, donated to St. Lawrence by Robert Frost’s granddaughter Lesley Lee Francis.  The typewriter was used by several members of the Frost family, and the poet himself wrote at least something on the machine.

Later in the winter, we will have out to titles from Frank’s collection that are now part of our Rare Books, so please do stop by and get a sense of one of the great legacy collections in our holdings.
